Yes Coffee Co. to Launch Drive-Thru-Only Location in The Hammock

Flagler Beach's cherished Yes Coffee Co. is set to broaden its horizons by introducing a drive-thru-only location in The Hammock.

 

Owners Mike and Rachel McDermott are transforming the former SunTrust bank's drive-thru at 5399 N. Ocean Shore Blvd., adjacent to Publix, into their new coffee haven.

 

Rachel McDermott expressed their enthusiasm, stating, "It's a challenge we're excited about. It's a new endeavor."

 

This innovative venture will be the first drive-thru restaurant in The Hammock, offering residents and visitors a convenient spot to grab their favorite brews.

 

The McDermotts anticipate opening the doors in the first quarter of 2026, aiming for a March launch.

 

Embracing the compact space, the couple plans to streamline operations, focusing on efficiency without compromising quality.

 

Mike McDermott highlighted the importance of precision, noting, "We have to be very efficient with how we operate. Ultimately, it's going to be on the baristas about being fast and efficient, doing things right the first time."

 

The menu will feature top-selling items, including espresso-based drinks and select food options like sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches, egg bites, and bagels.

 

Rachel McDermott emphasized their commitment to excellence, stating, "Our goal is to have the top selling items."

 

By expanding into The Hammock, Yes Coffee Co. aims to fill a community need, providing a quick and quality coffee experience.

 

Mike McDermott sees this as an opportunity to educate patrons on premium coffee, remarking, "We’re helping people retrain their palates for what good coffee is supposed to taste like."
